Swedish Trade invited to Nordic Retail Summit – a packed day with really good speakers. Representatives from trade, politics and authorities met to inspire and discuss the future of trade, everything from AI, the green transition and safe trade.
The fourth quarterly report in a row for the report E-barometern shows a positive development for e-commerce. As household consumption space becomes larger, e-commerce follows. But with an increasingly complex world around us, new opportunities arise with changed consumer behaviour.
Once again, a packed D-Congress in March where one day is not enough these days, the program started already after lunch on Wednesday. This year's theme was Innovation for impact, where sustainability issues, new technology, profitability focus, circular business models and logistics challenges for commerce came together on the various stages and on the exhibition floor.
Although e-commerce showed a negative growth of 2% for the full year 2023 according to the report E-barometern, e-commerce is now predicted to have come out of its worst crisis and is on the way to increased growth and increased parcel volumes going forward. The second half of 2023 was better than the beginning. Price-focused consumers and e-retailers who switch to profitability characterize e-commerce during the year.
The autumn's major industry event PostNord Retail Day was held digitally in October with the insight that an important key to a successful business is leadership – being able to make courageous decisions, create a strong culture and lead towards common goals. During Retail Day, the report E-barometern for Q2 was also presented with analyzes and insights.
2,700 from the e-commerce industry gathered for two busy days at D-Congress – and what days it were. A strong program of speakers that started already on Wednesday after lunch, followed by pleasant mingling. Many were ready to visit the exhibition the first day, but had to wait until the fair opened on Thursday. Most of the stages were packed and the networking on the exhibition floor continued throughout the day. D-Awards and a dinner with entertainment rounded off a really successful event.
During PostNord Retail Day 2023, the highlights from the report E-barometern 2022 were presented. Guests with different perspectives from the industry shared their analyzes and insights during the day.
For the first time, Nordic Retail Summit was arranged by Svensk Handel in October in Stockholm. A full day was offered with interesting speakers and the opportunity for rewarding networking during the day and concluded with the Retail Awards and dinner in the evening.

At a crowded Swedish fair in Gothenburg, 2400 gathered at the D-Congress on April 28 - everyone we met was more than happy to finally meet physically and talk e-commerce. The theme was E-commerce as entertainment where we got to listen to inspiring speakers on different stages and the opportunity to meet customers and partners.
